Sysco announced that work has started on a new road that will join Inglis Street to the SPAR. The job has been awarded to Zutphen Contractors. The value of the contract is 1.5 million dollars and the work is to be completed in 16 weeks. Sysco Community Relations Manager, Alfie MacLeod said, “This is another step towards implementation of the EDM Land Use Report that we released in 2002. The report indicates the development of a premier business park that has access by water, rail and an all-weather road system.” The EDM report is available under the Future Use section of this website. .

Along with the construction of the road, the plan includes moving the fence north and opening up the front end of the property for further development. A name change is planned for the property.
